Conference Service Manager | Carneros Resort & Spa

Carneros Resort and Spa is looking for a dynamic, outgoing, motivated, detail-oriented teammate to join our Sales and Catering Team as Conference Service Manager. The Conference Service Manager’s is responsible for planning, organizing and managing the in-house details for corporate and corporate social programs.

Our Conference Service Manager is responsible for the management of corporate meetings and special events including, but not limited to, room block management, planning site visits/calls, menu tastings, banquet event order and resume document generation, maximation of guest room and meeting space usage, host pre-convention meetings, floor plan design, billing estimates and day of partnership with the client/client’s event planner.

Job Duties and Requirements: 

  • Attend the weekly meetings including: BEO, Resume and Group Pickup Meetings 
  • Work closely with the Sales Managers to ensure client satisfaction 
  • Able to conduct hotel site inspections and client presentations 
  • Resourceful skills to provide contemporary set-ups, menus, and functions for groups, including the ability to upsell to create a luxury experience  
  • Work closely with banquet department on operations and event execution, ability to consistently deliver flawless events 
  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of operations. Detailed execution of all banquet event orders. 
  • Monitor group room blocks and pick up, generate detailed resumes for the operating departments. 
  • Ability to work with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction for all events/groups 
  • College degree or current affiliation with an accredited academic institution
  • 2 years Conference Service/Sales/Hospitality experience  
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that includes evenings nights and weekends, as necessary 
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
